This Privacy Policy explains how SlimUtils ("we", "us") handles information when you visit our website at https://slimutils.com. We aim to be honest and clear: most of our tools are designed so that no personal data needs to be collected at all.

• You can use any tool on this site without creating an account.
• Tool inputs are processed in your browser. We do not see what you type into our calculators, generators, or converters.
• We use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) to count page views in aggregate. We do not build user profiles.

Information You Enter Into Our Tools

Every tool on SlimUtils runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you generate a password, format JSON, calculate a tip, or build a QR code, the input is processed locally on your device. We do not send tool inputs to a server, do not store them in any database, and do not log them. You can verify this by opening your browser's DevTools, switching to the Network tab, and confirming that no requests are sent while you use a tool.

Cookies and Local Storage

Some parts of the site use cookies or browser local storage for specific, limited purposes:

• Theme preference — when you choose a theme (light/dark/Tokyo Night/Catppuccin/Nord), your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. This data never leaves your device.
• Language preference — your selected language may be stored locally so the site remembers your choice.
• Consent choices — if you adjust cookie/consent settings, your choice is stored locally so we do not ask again every page load.
• Plausible analytics — Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate page views only.
• Google AdSense (when active) — AdSense may set cookies to serve, measure, and optimize advertising. These include the NID, IDE, and DSID cookies as documented by Google. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personally identifying information. Plausible records: page URL viewed, referrer URL, browser type and OS (in aggregate buckets), country (derived from IP, but the IP itself is not stored), and screen size. No individual user can be identified from this data. Plausible is hosted in the EU and is GDPR-compliant by design.

Advertising

We may display advertising through Google AdSense to support free access to our tools. Google AdSense and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Serve and measure ads
• Personalize ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites (where you have consented)
• Detect and prevent invalid traffic and fraud

Where required by GDPR or similar regulations, a consent banner is presented before personalized advertising is enabled. You can change your consent at any time. Children's Privacy

SlimUtils is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

Because we do not collect personal data through our tools, there is little to retain. Aggregate analytics data (page view counts) is kept for up to 24 months for trend analysis. Anti-abuse logs from Cloudflare are kept according to Cloudflare's standard retention policy. Email correspondence with us is retained as long as necessary to address your inquiry, and then archived or deleted.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our practices change or as new regulations require. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
