About Lorem Ipsum
Lorem Ipsum has been the designer's standard placeholder text since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It survived not only five centuries of typesetting but also the jump to electronic publishing, remaining essentially unchanged.
Unlike simple "random text" generators, this tool uses a curated word bank of approximately 100 Latin-derived words that have been used in Lorem Ipsum for decades. This ensures the generated text has realistic-looking word lengths, syllable distributions, and spacing — much better for evaluating typography than purely random strings.
The tool also supports generating random English placeholder text (without the Latin) for cases where non-Latin content is preferred. All text generation is done locally in your browser.
